- Check GW3000 gateway compatibility for type and number of supported sensors
- The gateway uses 2.4GHZ WiFi. This is supported by nearly every WiFi router. However it is sometime turned off on the WiFi router
- No mains power adapter is included. Any USB 3 port will have sufficient power for the gateway.

What does the GW3000 actually do
The GW3000 acts as a gateway between your wireless Ecowitt sensors and your local network and the internet. It collects data from sensors and uploads it to online platforms or your own local server. The gateway also makes it possible to integrate Ecowitt senors with Smart Home systems.
What platforms can I upload data to
You can upload to Ecowitt.net, Wunderground, WeatherCloud, and also send data to your own custom server via HTTP.
Do I need a PC to set it up
No, setup is done via the free Ecowitt app, available on both iOS and Android. Also any web browser can be used for setup
Can I use it with Home Assistant
Yes, the GW3000 can be integrated with Home Assistant
Does it work without internet access
Yes, It can still collect and store data locally and integrate with other local smart home systems (e.g. Home Assistant). Online services and remote monitoring will not function without an internet connection.
Is the firmware upgradable
Yes, firmware updates can be done via the app when connected to the internet.
